FLORENT DESROCHERS August 8, 1923 - November 19, 2000 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Florent Desrochers on Sunday, November 19, 2000 at the age of 77. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 57 years and two daughters Terry (Joe Michelic) of Kitchener, Ontario and Denise (Glenn De Sutter) of Winnipeg. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his four grandchildren Darcy (Jennifer Michelic), Jennifer (Ken Murray), Stacey and Kurt DeSutter and great grandson Alexander; brothers Bert (Bertha), Marcien (Yvonne) brother-in-law Ernie Riedel, as well as numerous family members and friends. Florent was employed at Swifts for 37 years, until his retirement in 1980 and an Honourary member of the Knights of Columbus Council Number 3681. During retirement Florent enjoyed many years at wood crafting, as an active member of Appleton Estate Workshop. In keeping with Florents wishes, cremation has taken place and services will be held at St. Emile Parish, November 23 at 2:00 p.m., 556 St. Annes Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Florents memory to the St. Boniface General Hospital Research Foundation (Heart and Stroke), 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R2H 2A6. The Gates of memory never close. We miss you more than anyone knows. Sadly missed and loved, Lucie, Terry and Denise and family.
