ADAM (SCOTTY) GULLEN June 4, 1917 - November 19, 2000 Peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2000 after a long illness, Adam passed away at his home at the age of 83. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Margaret; his son David and sister Agnes. Adam is survived by his wife Lillian of 51 years; daughter Sheila (Nelson) and children, Bonnie and David of Victoria; son Peter (JoAnne) and children, Candace, Cassie and Michael of Winnipeg. Adam was born in Kirkfield Bank, Scotland and came to Canada in his 12th year. Dad joined the Canadian Army and served in the Dental Corps during the Second World War. Returning to Canada after the war Dad joined the Post Office and served as a letter carrier for 21 years until his retirement in 1977. Dad was a 32 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion, West Kildonan Branch No. 30. He was a member of the Purple Martin Club, the Humane Society of Canada and the Federal Superannuates Association. Cremation has taken place and a family service will be held on Dads Birthday, June 4, 2001 at Brookside Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Nancy Clark Landry of Home Care and all the staff from Home Care and VON that attended to Dad in his time of need.
