JOHN FRUCK Peacefully, on Sunday, November 19, 2000, Dad passed away at the age of 89. He leaves to remember him two sons; Dennis and Thomas (Shirley) and five grandchildren: Aaron, Natalie, Jason, Jarett and Laura. He is also survived by sisters Elsie Underwood and Lily Shirritt; sister-in-laws Peggy Fruck and Joyce Fruck, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Susan, his parents Daniel and Katherine, sister Eda and brothers, Jack, Sam and Bill. Dad lived for most of his life in the Fannystelle area. He and Mom raised their family and farmed south of Fannystelle. They moved into Fannystelle in 1972 and remained there until Mom passed away in 1994. Dad then lived with Tom and his family until, due to health concerns, he moved to the Lions Manor for one year before entering the St. Adolphe Nursing Home, where he remained until his passing. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the St. Adolphe Nursing Home for the care given to Dad. He was comfortable, happy and well looked after, and it became, truly, his home. Funeral service will be held from Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman, Man. on Saturday, November 25, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brad Elliott officiating. Viewing will be held on Thursday November 23, at Doyles Funeral Home in Carman, Man. at 7:15 p.m. with prayers starting at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Elm Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Unit 10, Winnipeg, Man. Doyles Funeral Chapel of Carman in care of arrangements.
