PETER SOLNIK August 11, 1920 - November 22, 2000 It is with deep sadness, the family of Peter Solnik announce his passing at the Health Sciences Centre on November 22, 2000 at the age of 80. Left to cherish in his precious memory are his daughters, Lois Kupchik and son Dan (Colleen), Trish (Maurice) Lavoie and children, Terra Willim and Adam Lavoie; daughter-in-law Nell Solnik and children, Allan, Candace (Robin) and Jason and Dads special friend Marie Marchand. Dad was predeceased by his son Allan; parents, Nettie and Alexander; sisters, Mary Karandiuk, Jean Zelasko; brothers, Walter Bryil, Mike and Paul Solnik. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff of the M.I.C.U. for all of their care and support. The family also wishes to thank Marlene Graceffo from the Geriatric Program Assessment Team, all of the staff from Home Care and VON that attended to Dad in his time of need. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Ave. on Tuesday, November 28 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dads memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Kidney Foundation or to a charity of ones choice.
