Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET MARY PILLEY (BYRNE) With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Mary Pilley on November 22, 2000, at the Grace Hospital, after a brief illness. Mom is survived by her daughters, Moira and Margot; their husbands, Denis Proulx and Andrew Gauthier; and her grandchildren, Carolyn, Colin, Andrea, Janet, Victoria, and Donald. She also leaves to mourn her sister Cecelia Foley of Regina; brother-in-law Francis Pilley (Helen) of Winnipeg; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald; her dear daughter Donalda; brothers, Norman and Frank Byrne and sister Katherine Stewart. Mom was born and educated in Winnipeg at the Immaculate Conception School and St. Marys Academy. She supported Dad through his career in the Canadian Military from 1939-1965 when he served in the Second World War, in Canada, and Vietnam. They returned to Winnipeg to retire and to be with family. Special thanks to Dr. G. Kalansky and Dr. J. Foerester, Drs. Simonson and Mallick at Grace, Dr. Glen Thompson for his extraordinary efforts, as well as the compassionate staff at the hospital. A Mass in Moms memory will be celebrated at St. John Brebeuf Church, 1700 St. John Brebeuf Place, on Saturday, November 25, at 1:00 p.m. with Father Michael Koryluk presiding. Cremation has taken place. Private interment to follow at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined, however a contribution to the St. Marys Academy Foundation Building Fund, 550 Wellington Crescent, Winnipeg, R3M 0C1, 477-0244 would be appreciated.
