HALDIES CHRISTINE SAULT Peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2000, at the Vita Personal Care Home, Christine Sault passed away at the age of 98 years. Our mother was born on August 19, 1902 at Moen, Storsteines, Norway, to Hans and Anna Moen, and immigrated with her family to Canada in 1903, settling in the West End of Winnipeg. Somewhere around 1906 or 1907 they relocated to the Dover area. Christine married Frank Sault in 1929, in Winnipeg, and together they settled in Dover, where they resided most of their lives. In March of 1966 Frank passed away, leaving our mother and their already grown family that consisted of five children, some of which had already left home and married. Left to mourn her passing are Robert (Penny) of Vernon, BC, Leonard and Wilma of Zhoda, Ruth Chopyk of Zhoda, Pat Storozuk of Winnipeg, and Edna (John) Andres of Steinbach; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, many relatives and countless friends. Mother always faced her challenges with internal strength and unwavering faith. She generously shared her time and love with family and friends. Our family extends sincere appreciation to the doctors and staff at the Vita Personal Care Home for their care and support. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 25, 11:00 a.m. at the Loewen Funeral Chapel, #12 Hwy. South, Steinbach with Pastor Jim Humphries officiating. Friends may pay their last respects at the Chapel on Friday, November 24, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and also prior to the service on Saturday.
