EVELYN FRANCIS SILVER (nee MORRISON) On November 19, 2000 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Evelyn Silver, passed away at the age of 84 years. Evelyn leaves her sister Edith Hutton; niece and husband Shirley and Ken Sellner and family, Debra and Andrew MacGill, Alexander and Lauren, David and Corina Sellner, Denver, and Andrew Sellner; niece Vergie and Bruce Williams, and nephew Rob Knight; many cousins, friends and former co-workers. She was predeceased by parents, Roderick and Elizabeth Morrison; brothers, Bill, Ken and Finlay; husband Arnold Silver; parents-in-law; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eileen and Ernie Roberts, Roy and Margaret Knight, brothers-in-law Bob Silver and Gordon Hutton. Evelyn was born June 2, 1916 in Minnedosa, Manitoba. She married Arnold in 1941, and resided in Winnipeg until her death. She worked for T. Eaton Co. for forty years, in the downtown records and instrument department. She ended her time at Eatons Polo Park in the linen department. Evelyn enjoyed traveling. Her gambling trips, and the good friends that she made on her many visits to Hawaii were highlights in her life. She treasured the relationships with the many good neighbors in her block. Aunt Evelyn was a great lady, outgoing and fun. She loved her great-niece and nephews, and their children. She thought they were "beautiful" and viewed them as "perfect". All families should have an Aunt Evelyn. At Evelyns request, there will be no funeral service. In her memory, please phone a friend, go for coffee and remember the good times. The family would like to thank Dr. Hugh Taylor and Dr. Luis for their care and compassion; to the staff at St. Boniface 7A West, the I.C.U. staff, also to Dr. Doermer and the nursing staff at Concordia. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
