VERA ANN WISE (LANDRU)

VERA ANN WISE (nee LANDRU) Suddenly on Sunday, November 26, 2000 at the Womens Hospital, Winnipeg, Vera Wise (nee Smith), aged 77 years, of Belair, MB, wife of the late John Wise. Vera was born in the R.M. of St. Clements and had lived most of her life at Belair. Vera was a quiet, gentle person who loved the country living, especially picking berries, listening to the birds and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed music (humming her favourite hymns) and visiting with her family. Besides her husband Vera was predeceased by a son Brian; grandson Earl; three brothers and a sister. She leaves surviving two sons, William (Candace) and Darrell (Cheryl) three daughters, Margaret (Floyd), Karen (Leonard) and Sandy; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother John Smith; two half brothers, Arnold and Gordon (Josephine) Smith; and numerous relatives. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, November 29 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with interment to follow at a later date at Grand Marais.
