MARY MASSEY We regret to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Mrs. Mary Massey (nee Piwudski), on November 23, 2000, at the Betel Home in Selkirk, Man. Mary was born in Winnipeg on March 26, 1911, and was the last surviving member of her family, being predeceased by her parents Steve and Agnes (Ciekiewicz) Piwudski; her sisters, Cecilia Burziuk and Frances Sitka and her only brother Phillip Pinarski. She was also predeceased by her husband John Edward "Ted" Massey, her oldest son John Edward "Eddie" Massey and her son-in-law Elmor Richert. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Kenneth (Maud) and Cecil (Evelyn) of Winnipeg and Philip of Selkirk; daughters, Cecilia and Helen Richert, both of Selkirk, as well as seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mary was a kind and loving mother with a great sense of humour and a caring spirit, always willing to take less so others could have more. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 27, at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Interment of ashes to take place at a later date in the Little Britain Cemetery. All of the family would like to thank Dr. Dittberner and Dr. Demsas and all the staff of the Betel Home in Selkirk for the care they gave our mother. A very special thank you to our sister Cecilia for all the love, help and care she gave to our mom over the past many years. Flowers gratefully declined.
