NANCY ASHLEY AUGUSTO ELVAS It is with great sadness that Elisabete Augusto and family announces the sudden passing of her loving daughter Nancy who left us on Tuesday, November 21, 2000 at the tender age of 21 years. Nancy was predeceased by her grandfather Serafim Augusto, grandmother Lucinda Elvas, uncle David Elvas and cousin Stephanie Augusto. She is survived by her loving mother Elisabete and husband Dinarte Sousa and her father Alex Elvas, also her grandmother Irene Augusto, uncle Mario and Margaret Augusto, Uncle Rui and Jan Augusto, aunt Maria and Fadel Ferzli, Uncle Luis Augusto, aunt Lily and Bernie Worrell, also her grandfather Jose Elvas, uncle Frank Elvas, aunt Maria and Tony Alves, aunt Isabel and Carlos Sousa, aunt Annette and Gaepin, aunt Beatrice and Steve Plank and aunt Sally Elvas. All her cousins, Jessica, Jordan and Jasmine, Tyler and Renee, Tessa and Serena, Keira, Crystal, Carla and Brittany, Amanda and Andre, Lisa, Julie and Shaun, Adam and Jessica. She will also be sadly missed by her best friends Liz Ali and Maureen Edwards and many more good friends. Nancy was born on July 14, 1979 in Calgary, Alberta. She was raised in Winnipeg and went to school here. Nancy our beautiful girl, was full of life and always greeted us with her pearly white smile and her cute dimples. She loved and cherished her family with all her heart. As a young child, Nancy was always happy and full of energy, she grew up to be a beautiful young lady, who loved music and dancing. Her hobbies were going to the mall and shopping with her friends and family, watching movies, especially her favorite movie Grease!!. She also enjoyed roller blading, swimming and just hanging out and chatting with friends and family. Nancy sure enjoyed talking. Nancy we all love you with all our hearts, and you will always be with us forever in our thoughts. Your loving mother will always miss you deeply, and love your forever. Sweet dear Nancy, rest in Peace, in heaven above, with our Lord watching over you Our beautiful Angel. Pallbearers will be Rui Augusto, Luis Augusto, Albino Felguerias, Robert Felguerias, Bernie Worrell, David Gata. Honourary pallbearer Mohammand Ali. Vigil prayers will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28 at Immaculate Conception Church. Funeral liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 29 at Immaculate Conception Church, 181 Austin Street, with Reverend Father Jose Eduardo Medeiros officiating.
