EDWIN GEORGE FUNK SR. On Saturday, November 25, 2000 at the Betel Home, Selkirk, Edwin G. Funk, aged 85 years. He was predeceased by his wife Marybelle, infant son Edward and parents, Ben and Eloise. He is survived by his three children, Eloise of International Falls, Mn., Ed of Fort McMurray, Alta., and Cindy (Bill) of Greensboro, N.C; grandchildren, Benji, Chris, Kevin and Jessica and great-granddaughter Sayler. Ed was born in Spirit Lake, Iowa and moved to Selkirk with his parents in 1918. He served in the Canadian Army from 1942 to 1946. He owned and operated the G.M. dealership in Selkirk with his father. He also worked as a stock broker for Richardsons Securities in Winnipeg until his retirement in 1975. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday (today), November 27, at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Interment of ashes to take place at a later date in the Little Britain Cemetery.
