IDA MAUD MACALPINE Peacefully on November 22, 2000, Ida Macalpine, beloved wife of the late John G. Macalpine, passed away peacefully at the Fort Garry Care Centre, at the age of ninety-two years. Ida leaves her daughter Heather Anderson (Richard), grandsons Lyndon (Mellissa) and John Anderson (Suzanne), granddaughter Rosemary Voelker (David) grandsons Lorne (Kelly) and Glenn Proutt; ten great-grandchildren; niece Geraldine McKinley (James) and many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Rosemary in 1946, daughter June Proutt in 1988; sister Evelyn Ames and brother John Moore. Ida was born November 23, 1908 to Edward James and Mary Etta Moore. She had an independent spirit, living in her home on Valour Road until the age of ninety, finally moving to an apartment in Heritage House. She enjoyed traveling and made a total of thirty-four trips to Southern California to see her daughter and family. Ida was a tremendous sports fan and followed the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, baseball, curling and golf. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who will cherish her memory always. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
