CHERYL (GIESBRECHT) FRANKS Cheryl Kathleen, aged 34, passed away unexpectedly at home in Ile des Chenes, MB on Saturday, November 25, 2000. Cheryl was born on May 20, 1966 and was raised in Thunder Bay, ON. She is survived by her husband Ron Giesbrecht; stepson Eric; in-laws, Abe and Agathe Giesbrecht; sister-in-law Sharon; daughter Jillian Mertson; parents, Edward and Miriam Franks; sister Julie Parent (Claude) niece Meaghan Parent; nephew Matthew Parent; cousin Michelle Pruder (Nelson) of Thompson, MB and numerous other relatives. Cheryl was predeceased by her grandparents, Vieno and Aarne Rita, Norman and Margaret Franks, aunt Irene Rita Harrison, and cousin Dane Harrison. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3 or to a charity of your choice.
