RICHARD (DICK) EDWARD TURNER With great sadness we grieve the loss of our husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Dick on Sunday, November 26, 2000 at the Grace General Hospital. While he left us quickly, his wife Marg; mother and father, Joyce and Edward; children, Daryl and Lori Pokornik (Mike) grandson, Connor; brother, Terry (Lorraine) family, friends and co-workers will miss and think of him always. Dick was born and raised in Headingley and worked at Piston Ring for 23 years. His favourite pastimes were gardening, baseball, curling, and bowling and for many years, he was involved with the Optimist Club of Assiniboia. He also had shared a love of antiques with his father and brother. Throughout his life, Dad was a very humble and private man who never spoke of his accomplishments. His greatest joy was his family and his "bud" Bailey; his ceaseless bragging about his grandson and unending devotion to the light of his life, Marg - they were married for 30 happy years. Dicks Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 30 at 11:30 a.m., in the Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Avenue at Belvidere Street, with The Rev. George Davidson officiating. Our family would like to express a sincere and special thanks to the Grace General Hospital and friends, especially Marilyn for your compassionate care and tireless efforts for making our loss easier to bear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, Dad would like donations to be made to the Headingley United Church Memorial Fund, 110 Bridge Road, Headingley, MB. R4H 1G1.
