Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE KOZAK (nee CHOBOTAR) Peacefully on November 26, 2000 at the age of 85 years, Alice Kozak passed away at Park Manor Personal Care Home, Winnipeg, MB. She is survived by her three daughters, Marge (Dave), Evelyn (Kris), Delories, all of Winnipeg; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Dora Chobotar; husband Nick in 1981; son Michael in infancy; daughter Elsie in 2000; one brother John; sons-in-law, Paul in 1993 and Dick in 2000. Mom was born on March 28, 1915 in Sundown, MB where she met and married Nick Kozak. They later moved to Menisino, MB where they lived for many years. In 1956 they moved to Middlebro, MB. She lived there till she came to Winnipeg in 1992 so she could be closer to her family. Family was her life. Mom loved to sew and garden but her main love was her daughters; grandchildren and friends. She will also be sadly missed by extended family, Bill, Kelly and Lena. God saw her getting tired and a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around her and whispered, Come with Me. With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, God broke our heart to prove, He only takes the best. Rest in Peace Mom Prayers will be said on Thursday, November 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Middlebro Hall, Middlebro, MB with Rev. Fr. Royik officiating. Interment will follow in Middlebro Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach; 204-326-1351.
