Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILBERT LORENZO McMILLAN 1927 - 2000 With sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of our husband, father and grandfather, Bert McMillan, on Tuesday, November 28, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Alice and his children and grandchildren, Alan (Diane), Morgan and Meagan McMillan; Carol (Doug), Andrew and Robyn Edge; Howard (Janis), Jenna, Tyler and Whitney McMillan; (Darcy), Christopher, Graham and Lindsay McMillan. Also mourning his passing are his sisters, Eva (Frank) Sissons and Isabelle Armstrong of Portage la Prairie and Lila (Gerry) Cavers of Crofton, B.C., and by many nieces and nephews. Bert was predeceased by his parents, Hannah and Gordon McMillan; his eldest son Lorne McMillan in 1998; his brothers, Donald and Douglas McMillan and his sister Ellen Cottam. Bert was born and raised in Bagot, Man. He came to Winnipeg at the age of 16 to work for the Canadian Pacific Railway, where he worked his way up to locomotive engineer until his retirement in 1986. Our dad loved sports and coached Little League baseball when his boys were young. He loved bingo, the slots and cribbage with the Seniors Club on Queen Street and enjoyed his many trips to Barbados and the southern U.S. We will miss him. On Friday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m., a Service of Remembrance for Bert will be held in the Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Ave. at Belvidere Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB., R3C 0S6, the Prairie Dog Central - Vintage Locomotive Society Inc., P.O.
