Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAL WIERZBICKI It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather on November 29, 2000 at the age of 84. Michal will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ludmila; daughter Anna and husband Michael and daughter Halina and husband Aleksander; four grandchildren, Andrew, Natalia, Mark and Christopher. He also leaves to mourn three brothers, Joe (wife Barbara) and Jan and Franek in Poland, as well as many nephews and nieces. Michal was predeceased by his parents, Anna and Bartlomiej; his brothers, Stanley (wife Stephania), Mikolaj and sister Maria. Michal was born on January 2, 1916 in Poland. During the Second World War he served in the Polish Army where he was wounded and taken prisoner to Germany. He met his wife there, and they married in 1946. In 1962 he came to Canada with his family. He worked very hard during his lifetime, being a man of many trades. While in Canada he worked for the University of Manitoba. Michal was a member of Sokol No. 2 Association. He was a very caring husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. Viewing will be on Saturday, December 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at St. Andrew Bobola Roman Catholic Church, 541 Marion Street, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon with Rev. Fr. Jan Spyrka officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michals memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
