Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUCIEN EMILE GARAND It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our father, Lucien Emile Garand, on Wednesday, November 29, 2000 at the Beausejour Hospital. Dad was born on July 27, 1913 in St. Pierre, Man., to Alfred and Marie Rose Garand. He leaves to mourn, his sons, Armand (Olive), Marcel (Jeannette), Gerry (Ruby) all of Ste. Rita, Man., Louis (Pat), Roger (Elaine) of Beausejour, Man.; his daughters, Lorette (Al) Juliette, of Winnipeg, Man., Julienne (Gary), Angele (Tom) of Calgary, Alta., Lynn (Gerry) of Delta, B.C.; 44 grandchildren; 70 great-grand children; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and his brother Laurent of Sudbury, Ont. Lucien was predeceased by his wife Beatrice; son-in-law Andrew Larocque; 2 grandsons, Guy Larocque and Randy Ross; great-granddaughter Angel and his brother Archie. Lucien worked for many years at Red River Grain and was a self-employed trucker until his retirement. Lucien will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Honourary Pallbearers will be Morris Garand, Guy Garand, Randy Garand, James Garand, Roger Larocque and Randy McKay. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Corder and staff at the Beausejour Hospital and also the wonderful staff at Stony Plains Senior Complex. Funeral service will be held at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. E. Beausejour on Saturday, December 2, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves presiding. Service will terminate at the chapel with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations in Dads memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Winnipeg, Man., R3C 2B7 or to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St. Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8.
