KARL SCHICK Peacefully, on November 28, 2000, at Deer Lodge Centre. Karl was born in Boshna Dollna, Poland and immigrated in 1949 to Canada from East Berlin, East Germany with his wife and children. They settled on a farm in Plumas, Manitoba, and in 1956 moved to Winnipeg. Dad overcame great obstacles during his life. His love for his wife, family and home was central to his life. Karl will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Ingrid (Franklin) Gomes, Ilse (Ed) Mitchell; son Wilhelm (Bill) Schick, and granddaughter Jennifer (Paul) Erickson. He was predeceased by his wife Katherine, and granddaughter Brenna Yarych. In compliance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank all the staff and volunteers on 3 East Deer Lodge Centre for their kindness and care. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
