Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES WESLEY WALKER Peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2000, James Wesley Walker, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 76 years. Jim is survived by his wife Blanche of 52 years. He also leaves to mourn his passing, his daughters, Deborah (Lionel) Fowler, Rae-Lynn Walker (Todd) also his sons, Gordon (Audrey) Walker, Roy (Shari) Walker; ten grandchildren; brother Edward Walker of Winnipeg and numerous nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his sister Laura; brothers, Bill, Doug, Len and his parents, Elizabeth and Charles Walker of Cypress River, Manitoba. James was born in Kelowna, B.C. in 1924, moving to Cypress River at the young age of 3. After his schooling, he joined the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, where he served overseas from 1942-45 with the South Saskatchewan Regiment and Queens Own Cameron Highlanders. After returning home, he worked most of his life for City Meat. In 1981 he joined the Commissionaires and later retired. James was a member of the Elmwood Legion No. 9. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 4 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Interment will follow in the Military Section of Brookside Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel on Sunday, December 3 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The family would like to thank A6 & B6 staff of dialysis H4 for their care. Also Spring Taxi drivers, Kevin & Babby.
