ARTUR PETERS At the age of 56 years, Art was relieved of his pain on December 1, 2000, at his residence. He is survived by his beloved wife Adina; children, Amber, Adrian and wife Carolyn; granddaughters, Taylor and Riley; also siblings, Erika (Ernst) Muehleisen, Peter (Kathy) Peters, Nick (Louise) Peters, Elsie (Ernie) Janzen, Elfrieda (Rudy) Redekop; parents-in-law Frank and Wanda Neufeld and many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by sister Louise and brother-in-law Fritz Goerlitz, also his parents Peter and Elsa Peters. Art will be remembered by the many boys he "adopted" through the Dynamo Soccer Club. Years of driving excited boys to soccer fields left an indelible mark on all who participated. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 4, at 10:30 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch, with Pastor Albert Durksen officiating. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Viewing on Sunday, December 3, at 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:10 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. If friends desire, donations may be made to "Wills Place," cheques payable to HSC account 8833. "Wills Place," two apartments across the street from Health Sciences Centre, is used by children and families during and after bone marrow transplant. With Bill and Margaret Fast, Art was involved in establishing these apartments and was aware of the difference their efforts made to children and parents in crisis. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel; 338-0331.
