GERTRUDE MARIA "THERESA" MACHMAUER On Sunday, December 3, 2000 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, Theresa entered into rest at the age of 85 years. Theresa was born in Rotterdam, Holland on April 10, 1915. In her youth, Theresa was very active in sports and gymnastics. She met her husband during the Second World War and came to Canada where she married Gustav in Winnipeg, Man., on March 22, 1947. She was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church as a choir member and belonged to the E.L.W., serving in many capacities. Theresa was also an active ten-pin bowler in two leagues at St. Josephs Club. Theresa leaves to mourn a sister in Holland; sister-in-law Emma Plischke; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many many good friends. She was predeceased by her husband Gustav in May 1991; her mother and father as well as ten siblings. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 6 at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 265 Flora Ave., with Pastor Ronald C. Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Theresa may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Box 2248 Stn Main, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 9Z9.
