MARY FRANCHUK (nee ROMANIK) Suddenly, on Saturday, December 2, 2000, Mary Franchuk passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband Anthony; sister Pearl Melynchuk; mother-in-law Mary Mudry of Sandy Lake, Man.; sister-in-law Isabel Bugera (Russell) of Kelowna, B.C.; numerous nieces and nephews; several cousins and close friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, three brothers and one sister. Mary was employed by various clothing factories as a seamstress. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Pallbearers will be Andrew, Nestor and Randy Rubachuk, Sherry, Laura and Orest Shindruk. The family wishes to thank the Health Sciences Centre and Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8, or to a charity of your choice.
