SAMUEL JAMES McBRIDE On Monday, December 4, 2000, 89 years of age, at Bethany Lodge, Unionville, and formerly of Islington Ave., Etobicoke, passed peacefully into his eternal rest. His wife Annetta Jean McBride died in October, 1999. Retired from Canada Packers Ltd., Traffic Department, Sam McBride had worked many years in both Winnipeg and Toronto. He was affiliated with West Toronto Bracondale and Rexdale Gospel Halls. He is survived by sisters, Lois Winkworth of Newmarket and Mildred Kirchen of Unionville; brother John McBride of Ajax; daughter Brenda Hamburger of Massachusetts, and son Philip McBride of Texas; cousin Christine Souter, Stouffville; sister-in-law Isobel Cowan, Etobicoke; grandsons, nieces and nephews. Funeral will be from the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, Main Street, Markham at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 8 with visiting hours Friday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment at Prospect Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Kiwartha Lakes Bible College, Peterborough, The Family Bible Hour Radio Broadcast, or Bethany Lodge.
