MARGARET RIOU (nee BETTENS) Margaret Riou passed away after a lengthy illness at the St. Boniface Hospital on December 4, 2000 with her husband and many loved ones present. Left to mourn her passing are her beloved husband Peter; sister Mary Cnockaert, St. Boniface; brothers, Albert (Bev) Winnipeg, Eddy (Janice) Keewatin, Ontario; sister-in-law Anne (Jack), Regina; brother-in-law Marcel, Saskatoon; as well as many loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father and sister Alice. Margaret had a great love for family and friends. She enjoyed 40 years of going to their cottage in Barrier Bay. Sincere thanks to all at St. Boniface Hospital, home care staff, family, friends and neighbors who were so caring and kind to Margaret. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 7, at 11:00 a.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion Street with Reverend Fr. Fred Olds presiding, assisted by Margarets nephew, Kevin Bettens, seminarian. Viewing half hour prior to service.
