Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTONY SUTYLA Peacefully, on Wednesday, December 6, 2000, Tony Sutyla, left us for a better place at the age of 82. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Betty of 55 years, his family and many friends. Dad was born July 17, 1918 at the homestead in Ledwyn where he spent his entire life. On August 14, 1945 he married Betty Scotton and they raised a family of six children. Left to cherish Dads memory besides Mom are his children and their spouses, Brian (Linda), Bill (Marcie), Maureen (Dick Johnson), Susie (Brian Eyolfson), Al (Jodi) his treasured grandchildren, Raymond (Erin), Roland, Rene (Darlene), Jason, Stacie (Heath), Derek, Jenny (Mike), Mitch, Chris, Jackie, Christine, Sandra, Alex; and his great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashley, Steven, Tommy, Todd and Blake. Dad is survived by his sister Anne (Bill Triska) brothers, Carl (Jean) and Stanley (Pearl) sisters-in-law, Mary (Bob Smith), Nellie and Helen, and his brother-in-law Art Waighorn. Dad was predeceased by an infant daughter, Jeannie; his brothers, John, Joe, Walter, Andrew and Frank; his sister Jean and his parents Kazmir and Katherine. Dad worked hard through the years on construction, building roads, running a sawmill, trapping and farming. Dad valued his family very much and always looked forward to the visits, card games and coffee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, auction sales, playing cards and of course the VLTs. He was in his glory telling his stories to his grandchildren as he took them fishing or hunting or just beating them in a game of cribbage. He always had a few words of advice or wisdom for everyone he met. It was at Dads request that we not hold a funeral service. Although we miss him very much, we know in our hearts he is with us still. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ledwyn Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
