ADOLPHE "AL" CIECKO 1916 - 2000 Peacefully, on December 6, 2000 with his family at his side, after a lengthy illness, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 84 years. Adolphe is survived by his wife of 60 years Ollie; son Ron (Donna) grandsons, Jeffrey (Tara) of Salmon Arm, B.C., and Michael of Winnipeg; nephew Randy of Montreal and sister Mary of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Mary; brothers, Albert and Wally. Al served in the Air force during the Second World War, following which he worked for many years in the construction and roofing industries. He enjoyed many years at his cottage in Betula Lake with his family and friends. He curled for many years at the Heather Curling Club. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 9 at 1:00 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. Viewing half hour prior to the service. A private family interment will take place at a later date in the St. Boniface Cemetery. Family wishes to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their care given.
