Always a great listener, Dales warm presence as devoted mother and wife, compassionate and loyal friend and practicing counsellor were enhanced by extraordinary commitment, uncanny intuition and delightful sense of humour. Indeed, it was Dale who continually comforted the rest of us in difficult moments, while courageously minimizing her own pain. Dale earned a Masters degree in Educational Psychology and was employed in a variety of settings and capacities, health education, psychometric assessments, research and private counselling. Most recently, she had undertaken doctoral studies in Psychology at the University of Manitoba throughout her illness. Dale took great pride and pleasure in her academic and professional work. The family extends their appreciation for the excellent support and care provided by the Cancer Foundation, Health Sciences Centre, Ward GD 6 and Intensive Care. A special thank you to Dr. Rubinger, Dr. Bow, Dr. Giron, Dr. Snovida and Dr. Wiebe and staff. The family gratefully acknowledges the compassion and genuine care by all nursing staff.
