BROCK ELLIOTT Brock Elliott, 53, of Antigonish, N.S., succumbed to his struggle with cancer and died peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 6, 2000. Brock was born in Montreal, Que. He grew up in Ormstown, Que., and Bathurst, N.B. He was the son of the late William and Marty (Fenwick) Elliott. He attended Sir George Williams University in Montreal. Over the years he worked in Winnipeg and Thompson, Man., before moving to Nova Scotia. He lived in Judique for six years before settling in Antigonish as the owner of Sunflower Natural Foods. For the last 17 years he has been a well known community figure. He was chair of the Canadian Health Food Association and a founding member of the United Health Food Merchants Association. He is survived by his wife Gail Rebbeck Elliott; son Cassin; daughters, Barrie, Rory and Leigh; brother William and special family friend Ilona Braun. A celebration of his life will be held at the MacKay Room, Bloomfield Centre at St. Francis Xavier University on Tuesday, December 12, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LArche Antigonish (99 Church St., Antigonish, N.S., B2G 2E2), Hospital in the Home (in care of St. Marthas Hospital, 25 Bay St., Antigonish, N.S., B2G 2G5), or Centre for Integrated Healing, Suite 200, 1330 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C., V6H 4A6. Arrangements are entrusted to C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish, N.S.
