AUSTIN VALENTINE SANDSTROM On Thursday, December 7, 2000, Austin Sandstrom passed away at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 90 years. He was predeceased by his wife Stella in 1984 and two sisters and one brother in Sweden. Left to cherish his memory are his son Ron (Naida) grandchildren, Nancy (Denis) Wittevrongel, Paul (Lorraine) and Stephen (Marni) and great-grandchildren, Teslin, Alison, Emma, Andrea and Austin Sandstrom. Austin was employed by the T. Eaton Co. as a carpenter until his retirement in 1975. He was a lifetime member of St. Johns Lodge #4 and volunteered as a driver for the "Masonic Cancer Car" for 13 years until 1997. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey Street. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Casey Woo and the staff of the 5th floor at the Victoria Hospital for their kindness and caring.
