FREDERICK EARL FROST 1924 - 2000 Suddenly, on Wednesday, December 6, 2000, Fred Frost, beloved husband of 50 years to Linda (Belinda) Frost, passed away. Dad, Poppie and Uncle DoDo, as he was fondly known, is survived by his loving wife Linda; children, Brian, Cheryl (Bruce), Donna (David), Len (Sharon), and David (Janice) ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, sisters, Lillian Coram in England, and Florence Larkin; brother Ray Frost (Dianne) of Winnipeg; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Fred was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Bill, Ted and Frank and sister Margaret. Fred was born on December 5, 1924 in Winnipeg. He was the sixth child of eight for Francis and Florence Frost. He served during the Second World War with the Canadian Army from October 1943 to July 1946. He retired from McGavins Foods December 17, 1987 after almost 40 years of dedicated employment. Dad enjoyed card games, bowling and always made time for family and weekly lunches with his siblings. He will always be loved and remembered as a generous, happy man who touched all of us with his quick wit and good-hearted nature. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Rev. Beth McCutcheon officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Freds memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Wpg., R3C 0S6 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301- 352 Donald St., Wpg., R3B 2H8.
