DHANMATTI MANAR PERSAD Peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2000 at home, Dhanmatti Manar Persad passed away at the age of 77 years. Dhanmatti was born on January 16, 1923 in Trinidad, West Indies. She was predeceased by her husband, Seecharan with whom she shared 63 years of happy married life. She is survived by her children, Khemraj (Rita), Bhupraj (Annette), Indra, Shantee (Paul), Indraj (Tina), Kantee, Premraj and Jairaj; her grandchildren, Christine, Narad, Vashti, Anand, Anirudh, Hearon, Raymond and Jordan; her great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Shaun and Taya; her brothers and sisters, who reside in Trinidad and Canada, and all those who adopted her as their mother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Cremation under Hindu rites, took place on Sunday, December 10 with her family in attendance.
