FLORENCE McRAE (nee HARRIS) It is with sadness and regret we announce the passing of Florence McRae, aged 94 years, of Selkirk, Manitoba. Florence was the wife of the late Duncan McRae, formerly of the Meadowdale district where they farmed for many years, retiring to Selkirk in 1964. Florence was born in Brandon, MB in 1906 and attended school in Yorkton, SK., Brandon and Ladysmith, MB. Florence was the eldest of the family of James and Alice Harris who farmed at MacGregor, MB for many years. Left to mourn her passing is her dear son, Keith and his wife Lila of Kamloops, B.C. and their two daughters Pennie Brown (Scott) and Donna Williamson (Allen) four great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law Hazel McRae of Selkirk; two brother-in-laws George Carpenter (Dorothy) and Arnold Mullitt of B.C. and by many nieces, nephews and friends. Florence was predeceased by her husband Duncan McRae; parents James and Alice McRae; a baby brother, Victor, three sisters, three brothers, one niece and one nephew. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 13 at 10:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with interment to follow in the Cloverdale United Churchyard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cloverdale United Cemetery, c/o Bob Morrison, R.R. #1, Selkirk, MB R1A 2A6. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
