ANNETTE LAURIN (nee BOISSELLE) June 13, 1920 - December 10, 2000 Peacefully, at Foyer Valade Mom passed away with her two daughters by her side, only to join the love of her life, husband Roland who predeceased her on March 12, 1963. Mom held many titles: mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, Godmother, cousin, secretary and friend to many who loved her. Annette was a courageous woman raising two daughters on her own. She held a position as secretary at Provencher School for 22 years until her retirement in 1985. Her job gave her the freedom to spend a lot of quality time with her children who she always made her first priority. Annette was an angel who finally earned her wings. Annette enjoyed many activities. Her all time favourites were square dancing, weekly gatherings with her "sewing circle", card playing with her friends. Mom was a whiz at crossword puzzles who rarely used a Webster! Annette leaves to mourn two daughters, Nicole Laurin, husband Dwayne MacPherson and Pat Laurin; grandchildren, Daniel Moniot (Kelly White), Curtis Felbel and Christopher Felbel; great-nephew Kyle Boisselle, and great-niece Renee Boisselle. She also leaves behind brothers-in-law Hector Bourgeois (Solange), Lucien Chenier, George Laurin (Shirley) sisters-in-law, Lorraine Laurin, Margaret Laurin, Dolly Laurin, and many nieces and nephews. "I see a smile upon her face, As Mom moves on to another place, And watches Dad standing there, As heavens wind blows through his hair. Now two young souls walk hand in hand, In a place where theres no mortal man, Where spirits know, no sorrow, no pain, And where our Mom knows Dad again." "Mom we feel so privileged to have held your hands until the end, as you held ours all of our lives! We love you Mom, and we love you Meme." Thanks to Father John Kratcher and to all the staff at Foyer Valade and special thanks to Diane Magne for her kindness and dedication to Mom and to her special friends Agnes Helman and Francine Normandeau. Thanks to all her visitors. We really appreciated the time you gave our Mom. Memorial Service will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St., on Thursday, December 14 at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 The Desjardins Funeral Chapel, in care of arrangements, 233 - 4949 or toll free 1-888-233-4949.
