Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH ELSIE EMILY CUSTANCE (nee NELSON) Peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2000 Elsie Custance passed away with her family by her side, at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 81. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Custance in June of 2000. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Robert, Ted, and George (Barbara) grandchildren, Dawna and John (Angela) and great-grandsons, Brandon and MacKinley. Elsie graduated from the Ottawa Civic General Hospital in 1943, and spent her 25 year career at the Deer Lodge Hospital. She was a long time member of the Eastern Star and the Deer Lodge United Church. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Avenue. The family would like to thank everyone who made Elsies life easier before she passed away. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg MB R3J 0L2; Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities Inc., 200-294 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3C 0B9 or to a charity of your choice.
