ROBERT GRANT GRAHAM Bob died suddenly at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, on Monday, December 11, 2000. Beloved husband of Robin Graham; loving father of Susan Scott (Glen) and Bruce Graham (Darcy) cherished stepfather of Carolynne Thompson (Steven) adored brother of Arlene Brown (the late Lloyd Brown) devoted grandfather of Kaitlyn Scott, Holly Graham and Nicolas and Alexandre Trepanier; dear uncle of Rick Brown (Lyne), Nancy McRae (Peter) and Laurie Welch (Glenn). Born April 8, 1931, in Ottawa, Bobs passion for business led him to McGill Commerce, where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in 1952. Osler Hammond and Nanton moved Bob west and once established in Winnipeg, he was one of the founders of Inter-City Gas, 1954, which went on to acquire Greater Winnipeg Gas. In the mid 1970s, Bob was honoured as the first Canadian president of the Mid-West Gas Association. He was also a former part owner of the Winnipeg Jets and president of the team from 1975 to 1977. Bob was once on the Board of Directors of the Winnipeg Foundation. At the time of his demise he sat on the Board of Directors of Investors Group, Great West Life Insurance and Moffat Communications. "Big Bob," husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend, you will be dearly missed and loved more than your modesty would ever let you know. The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Ave. (south of Eglinton Avenue E.), from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, December 14, and Friday, December 15, respectively. Funeral service 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 16, at the Lawrence Park Community Church, 2180 Bayview Ave. (south of Lawrence Avenue E.). Reception to follow at the York Club, 135 St. George St. (at Bloor Street W.). A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2001, at St. Georges Crescentwood Anglican Church, 168 Wilton St., Winnipeg, Man. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Sunnybrook Foundation, if desired.
