Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) WARD Peacefully, on December 11, 2000, at the Deer Lodge Centre, Jack Ward passed away with his family at his side. Jack is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy; children, Joan and Clifford of McGregor, MB., Garnet and Sharon of Red Deer , AB., Jim and Kim of Winnipeg, Brenda of Winnipeg and Carol and Aurele of Steinbach; many grand and great-grandchildren and sister Blanche Smith of Portage La Prairie, MB. Jack was born in Calgary on November 29, 1919. He spent his early years in B.C., then moved to McGregor with his family. Jack enlisted with the army in 1940 serving overseas with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corp. until 1945. Returning to Canada in 1945, he began work for the CPR and retired after 37 years of service. Jack was a loving husband and father who will be dearly missed. Dad will be fondly remembered by friends and family alike. The family would like to thank the caring staff of T6 at the Deer Lodge Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jack can be made to the Deer Lodge Foundation, 2309 Portage Avenue, R3L 2E1. Memorial service for Jack will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Friday, December 15, at 12:30 p.m. Interment and reception will follow.
