THOMAS MURDOCK, SR. Suddenly, on Friday, December 15, 2000 at the Percy E. Moore Hospital in Hodgson, Man., at the age of 81, Dad passed into the arms of the Lord. At his side was his loving wife Caroline. He was predeceased by his parents, Nellie and James Murdock; two brothers, Frank and William and one sister Florence. Left to mourn his passing is Caroline, his wife of 53 years; sons, Irwin and Thomas Jr., (Leona) daughters, Val Flett (Jim) and Lynda Flett (Alfred). He also leaves seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Dan and Fred; sisters, Agnes, Isabel, Mary Jane, Josephine, Lydia and Rose. Dads lifework was as a Commercial Fisherman on Lake Winnipeg for 60 years. He was forced to retire at the age of 72 due to failing health. We saw him making the difficult adjustment with strength of character and the grace of God. Prayers will be held on Monday, December 18, 7:00 p.m. at the Dallas Community Gospel Fellowship. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2:00 p.m. also at the Dallas Community Gospel Fellowship. Rev. Carroll Hill will be officiating. Pallbearers will be his nephews. "We dont understand why you went when you did, but we who are left behind rest in Gods unchanging goodness.
