MARGARET MARIE COWIE (nee PERRON) Peacefully, on Thursday, December 14, 2000, Margaret Cowie, age 81 years, passed away at the Riverview Health Centre. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander in November 1996, as well as her sisters, Irene, Helen and Blanche and brothers, Maurice, Conrad and Joseph. Margaret will be dearly missed by her son Bob (Julie) grand-children, Jennifer (Ryan), Christie (Jason) and Robbie; great-grandson Colton; sister Gertrude Burton and special niece Pat (Des) DePourcq, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and friends. She was born September 28, 1919 in Kenora, Ontario and married Alexander on August 12, 1940 in Kenora and later settled in Winnipeg. Margaret was very active, she bowled for many years at Billy Mosienko Lanes and loved to meet her many friends at the Garden City Shopping Centre and the Carriage House. The family would like to thank Dr. Saunders for his longtime support and care. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, December 19, at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A private interment will take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Margarets memory to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Ave., Wpg., R3L 2P4.
