Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMABEL MENSFORTH Peacefully, in her sleep, Mabel passed away on December 13, 2000 at Central Park Lodge #2 in her 99th year. Mabel is survived by her loving husband Alfred; her sister Vivian (Gren) Coons of Regina; sister-in-law Lil Johnson; sister-in-law Betty (Bob) Brooke of Winnipeg; numerous nephews and nieces in both families. Mabel was born in Ballymoney Country Antrim, Ireland and came to Canada at age 16 to take up nursing in Weyburn, SK. Mabel continued nursing all her life and retired as Supervisor of the King George Hospital in Winnipeg. She moved to Winnipeg and married Alf in 1937. Mabel and Alf spent many long summers at Lake Shore Heights with the company of friends and family and enjoyed many laughable camping trips. They spent many pleasant winters in Mesa Arizona, until travel became a problem. As they had no children, Alf will surely miss his life long partner. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 18, at 11:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Avenue. If friends so desire, a donation in Mabels memory may be made to St. Johns Cathedral, 135 Anderson Ave. Wpg. MB R2W 5M9 or to a charity of ones choice.
