Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANINA (JOANNE) KOT Peacefully, on Thursday, December 14, 2000 at Holy Family Nursing Home, Janina Kot of Winnipeg. Janina was born on June 23, 1924 in selo Kariw, povit Sokal, W. Ukraine. During the Second World War together with her brother Tixom she served in UPA till the end of the war. She was arrested by the Polish Army and imprisoned for five years in the concentration camp, where her health deteriorated. In 1958 she came to Canada to her sister in Yorkton, Sask. She met her husband Stefan and were married in 1959, sharing 40 years together. Janina was employed at Holy Family Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Andrews Church and the U.C.W.L. of the parish, and was a representative to KYK. Janina leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters Melania and Barbara and their families, numerous nieces, nephews and relatives all in Ukraine. Two nieces Maria (Jerry) Mayiak, Hannia (Roman) Kot and their families; numerous relatives and friends in Winnipeg; two cousins Eddie Bucholz and family of Edmonton, Stanley Bucholz and family of B.C. Prayers will be sung 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 17 at St. Andrews Ukrainian Catholic Church, 160 Euclid Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 18, also at the Church, with Rev.
