Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUGUST RADKE Quietly on December 14, 2000, at the Red River Personal Care Home in Selkirk, Man., at the age of 91. August was born October 10, 1909, in Poland and came to Canada in 1925. He worked at various jobs and was employed with the C.P.R. for 30 years, retiring in 1975. He enjoyed his retirement residing in Lockport with Gloria and Lloyd. He loved looking after his animals, and the country life. August was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Wilhelmina (Minnie) and his mother Adaling. He is survived by his sister Edith Pyzyk of Selkirk; son Leroy (Gail) of Vancouver; daughters, Lona (Bob) of Lockport and Gloria (Lloyd) of Lockport; grandchildren, Chris, Jay, Gary and Karen; great-granddaughter Megan. Cremation has already taken place. A service celebrating Augusts life will be held on Tuesday, December 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., Winnipeg. The family would like to thank Dr. R. Lindenschmidt and the staff of Red River Home for their kindness and consideration in caring for Dad.
