JOHN TAYLOR BAGNALL May 12, 1922 - December 16, 2000 Peacefully at Concordia Hospital, after a difficult and lengthy struggle following heart surgery. John leaves to cherish his memory his wife Clarissa, who over 54 years was his best friend and soul mate. He will be remembered with love by his sons, Andrew (Gail), Frank (Colleen) daughter Jane (Graham Collins) in Cambridge, England; and grandchildren, Blair, Drew, Brittany, Clarissa and Tyler Bagnall. John was born in Sheffield, England, and after serving in the Second World War, joined the family steel business. He and Riss came to Canada in 1953, first to Quebec and then to Manitoba. John had a passion for opera, marathon running, cricket and judo. For many years he coordinated the Pageant at Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Following his retirement from Griffin Steel, he and Riss created Goodacre Ltd., where they grew the flowers they loved. Johns life will be celebrated in a private family service. Friends may remember John through a donation to the charity of their choice or to the Concordia Hospital Foundation.
