Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORNA MARLENE KING September 28, 1941- December 15, 2000 Peacefully on December 15, 2000, at Grace Hospital, Lorna Marlene King passed away. Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her husband Brian; her son Kevin (Ursula) daughter Robin (Mark) Sumka; grandchildren, Travis and Chelsea Sumka and Kianna King; her mother Mary Wall; brother Richard (Ida) Wall; nephew Perrin Wall. She was predeceased by her father John Wall. Marlene was born in Winkler, Man., in 1941. She attended school in Horndean and Altona, Man., prior to enrolling and graduating as a laboratory technologist from St. Boniface Hospital, also working as a certified swimming instructor. She pursued her second career as a travel agent and business owner for the past 20 years with great diligence and a desire to excel. She will be greatly missed by her family, many friends and clientele alike. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 20, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. The family appreciates the exceptional care she received from the staff at the Grace Hospital during her illness. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, Man., R3C 2B7, would be appreciated.
