WILLIAM (BILL) PERSONA Peacefully on Saturday, December 16, 2000, Bill Persona passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 60. Bill was born on May 27, 1940. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Myra and daughter Gail (Les) Zakariasen; mother Enid; brother George (Joan) sisters, Helen, Janet (Dennis) and Sally (Chuck) many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Garth (Bonnie) Treavor, April Treavor of Calgary, AB. Bill was predeceased by his father Ladislav (Percy) brother Jim and mother-in-law Pearl Chassie. Bill enjoyed all things in life from weekends at the "purple pad" at Wallace Lake, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing to spending time at home with family, friends and his special dog "puppy". Bill worked in parts departments at International Harvester, White Trucks and Peterbilt all of his life and he took special care and pride in servicing his customers. His great smile, laughter and love will be deeply missed by his loving wife, family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB on Wednesday, December 20 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of their choice.
