JAMES ALBERT (AL) WALLACE On Friday, December 15, 2000 at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, Al Wallace, aged 86 years, beloved husband of Doris of Winnipeg. Born May 24, 1914 in Winnipeg Al was raised in Cartwright, Man., lived part of his youth in Stonewall and for the past 60 years in Winnipeg. Al managed and owned Imperial Casket in Winnipeg for 35 years before retiring in 1980. He spent his summers at his beloved Gull Lake and his winters in Florida or Hawaii. Surviving besides his wife Doris, sons, Gary (Kathy) and Terry; grandchildren, Christopher, Jody, and Jamie. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Lillas. The family wish to give thanks to Dr. Kotecha and staff at the Grace Hospital and to the staff at Heritage Lodge for their kindness and compassion. Special thanks to lifelong friend Nat Mowatt whose weekly visits were greatly appreciated by Al and Doris. (Where else would Al have managed to get his weekly supply of Maple Buds). Cremation has taken place with a Memorial service to be held at a later date. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall in care of arrangements.
