Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH B. MARKS Peacefully, at the Betel Home, Gimli, on Saturday, December 16, 2000, Joseph B. Marks passed away. Born in Camp Morton on April 12, 1911, Joe worked hard all his life, mining in Red Lake during the winter months and farming in Camp Morton in the summertime. He was an avid card player, loved dancing and visiting friends and neighbours. In 1992 when Joe was not able to manage on his own he moved in to the Gimli Betel Home where he enthusiastically participated in all the activities as long as he was able. Left to mourn Joes passing are his sisters and brothers, Anne Gall, Mary Demchuk, Emily Petrash, Tony, Elizabeth Keller (Ed), Arthur (Helen), Adolf (Gert), Martha Ryan; sister-in-law Mary Marks and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Mathias and Katie; brothers, Adam and Charles and sister Rose. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 19 at 11:00 a.m. (today) in the St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, Gimli, with Fr. Jose Cabral officiating. Viewing will be held prior to service time. Interment to follow in the St. Benedicts Cemetery, Camp Morton, Man. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, donations may be made in Josephs memory to the Betel Home Foundation or to the Johnson Memorial Hospital Building Fund. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli, in care of arrangements.
