VICTOR HRYSHKO It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our Husband, Father and Grandfather, Victor Hryshko, at the Grace Hospital on December 18, 2000, at the age of 67, with his family at his side. Victor was born in the Ukraine in 1933, and immigrated to Canada with his parents in 1949. He has lived in Winnipeg since that time. Until his retirement in 1993, Victor was employed with the Provincial Government as the Director of Cooperative Development for Industry, Trade and Tourism. He was a member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Mary the Protectress. He was predeceased by his father John in 1987; his grandson Timmy in 1993 and his mother Mary on June 3, 2000. Victor will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years Eugenie; his children, Linda (Murray), Larry (Michelle), Diane (Gary) and Gayle; grandchildren. Adam, Daniel, Megan, Hannah, Jaclyn and Haley. Victor loved the outdoors, spending time with his family and visiting with neighbours and friends. He enjoyed gardening at the "cabbage patch" in St. Andrews, and cooking gourmet meals. The family wish to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre and Grace Hospital Intensive Care Units and Emergency Depts. for their care and compassion. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Mary the Protectress, 820 Burrows Ave. with Very Reverend Father Michael Skrumeda officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, spend some special time with your own family and remind yourself of how precious they truly are. Leaves and flowers may wither The golden sun may set But the hearts that loved you dearly Are the ones that wont forget. "We will miss you, Dido. Rest in Peace" CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
