DAVID L. LOEWEN David L. Loewen, aged 86 years, of the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, formerly of Rosenort, passed away on Monday December 18, 2000 at the Morris General Hospital. He leaves to mourn his passing his children; Esther Loewen of Vancouver, Ernie and Mary Ann of Rosenort, Elisabeth and Raymond Genest of Winnipeg, Danny and Florence of Rosenort, Edwin and Joy of Winnipeg, Laura and Harold Thiessen of Bowsman, and Marry Anne and Randy Siemens of Rosenort; 20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters; Helen Thiessen, Pete Thiessen, John and Gladys Thiessen, Abe and Adella Thiessen, and Annie and Ben Reimer; and brother-in-law John Bartel. Mr. Loewen was predeceased by his dearly beloved wife Tina in 1999, daughter Linda in 1962, and by his sisters Marie Loewen, Elizabeth Friesen, Margaret Kroeker, and Katie Bartel. The funeral service will be held on Friday December 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pleasant Valley Evangelical Mennonite Church near Rosenort. Interment in the Rosenort Cemetery. There will be viewing at the church on Thursday from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m., as well as prior to the service. Should friends so desire, donations in Davids memory may be made to EMC Missions.
