Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD DAVID LAURENCE Ronald David Laurence, age 70, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on December 19, 2000 with his family by his side. Ron is survived by his loving wife Betty of 49 years. His daughters, Pat (Larry) Peters and Carol (Wes) Spicer along with six grandchildren, Kevin, Heather, Crystal, David, Amanda and Britainy also survive him. His grandchildren were a great source of pride and joy for him. He will also be missed by his constant companion Brandy. He was predeceased by his chosen parents, Reg and Phil Davie; his mother Stella Laurence, his Uncle Keith and Auntie Ev Affleck and his brother Robert. Ron was born in Kenora, ON where he resided for his entire youth. In 1951 he married Betty Tinling of Winnipeg and became the proud father of two daughters. Ron and Betty moved to Winnipeg a few short years later where they resided for numerous years raising the family that they loved. His greatest joy was camping with the family. Ron retired from the Seven Oaks School Division in 1994 from the position of Director of Transportation. This is a position he held with great love and caring for the children who were entrusted into his care. He also spent many years with the Winnipeg Supply - Heating Division. The family wishes to extend our deepest appreciation to the staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital, St. Boniface I.C.U. and Health Sciences I.C.U. and I.I.C.U. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Rons life will be held on Saturday, December 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Private inurnment will follow in St. Johns Cathedral Crypt. Donations in Rons memory to the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. Dad and Grandpa Through good times and bad you were always there. We love you and will miss you always.
